Who can see your viewing activity?
what are the splits on our fundraising between the local, state and national level? who decides that?
are affiliate board members welcome to contribute
Can affiliate board members join President's Circle?
for anyone who joined a little late, this webinar is being recorded and will be available afterward on realtorparty.realtor.
Our Business Partners are given a voluntary minimum suggestion line item on their annual dues bill for RPAC, and we discuss the benefits about contributing as a BP in our General Membership Meetings.
so can our association be a corporate ally?
How do we record a contribution from a family member if they don't have a NRDS#?
Do family members contributions just go through the financial goals or can they counted as participation? Also can they be recognized as major investors
our affiliates can donate to RPEC correct? Non of our affiliate members have voting power in our association and most do not pay dues, but if they donate anything we put that towards RPEC
My association is working to change the name of our Affiliate Membership to "Preferred Partner Membership." Will this impact their status as a solicitable class at all? I saw you had Affiliate in quotation marks on the slide, so I'm wondering if we must specifically call them Affiliates in order to solicit them.
In all cases, an affiliate must have a M1 number
Is the credit card payment disclaimer a federal or state requirement? Where do we find examples of CC disclaimer?
Will you be sending that out to us? Disclaimer
will Local association get Fundraising credit for CAP investments,
Could a solicitation disclaimer's fine print be used in the form of a watermark?
disclaimer must be readable
cash contribution deadline to state?
cash check or card - all the same time limits in most cases
Once the local PAC forwards a contribution on to their state PAC, does the state then have another 10/30 days to forward that on to RPAC? Or once it arrives at the state PAC, the timeframe no longer matters?
we collect dues prior to end of year so how are you suppose to send it for the next year when you apply it to the year you receive it??
The clock starts ticking when the local receives the $$ from the member, not when the state receives the $$ from the local?
I thought the money than changes to soft dollars or hard dollars.
RPAC year is not the calendar year
what happens if funds were not transferred in that time frame? When taking funds with dues we have investments that were made over $50 but were being sent in the same group as all other contributions. so it was more than 10 days?
What determines date of receipt by state if mailed, post-mark or actual date received and opened at state office?
If someone dates a check Jan. 1, it’s for $250, and the association office gets it on April 10. (example) Is it good?
it was rec on April 10 ...that is the date that starts the clock
Are we able to get items donated by affiliates? Or have them sponsor something like a bar or drinks
can we share this recording later with our RPAC trustees?
Thank you for your questions. We will address them at the end of the presentation. Thanks!
Check to see if your state allows "in kind" contributions from corporations. Our does not.
Is a speakers fees considered venue costs or an "enticement" for 1/3 rule
For Clarification purpose- the food/beverage and venue cost are NOT INCLUDED in the 1/3 Rule?
Cam we get a pdf copy of material presented
What about thanking or recognizing contributions to the PAC? i.e. Major investors? Can that be public?
This webinar is being recorded and will be available afterward on realtorparty.realtor.
Can a list of MI be placed on Association website *not* behind firewall? I want to make sure I understood that point accurately.
if you have how to invest behind firewall, do you still need to have disclaimer with it. if it is joined with a INVEST now button
Can you advise the video guidance regarding content that is publicly permissible?
Just want to make sure…PAC funds are not subject to 1/3 rule only association funds.
only event funds
Correct. If using RPAC money for RPAC event, 1/3 rule will not apply. Thanks!
Can a video on why members invest be shared on social media (public)? It does not encourage others to invest...just sharing their reasons for investing.
that is not what happens we send it in as the next year and it gets applied to the current year
Can you explain the difference between a Judiciary State and those States that are not?
What about items that you get donated from local businesses as prizes?
Our association has a page on our website listing our Major Investors. There's no language asking to invest, but would fall in the gray area you mentioned in thanking and recognizing MI's?
Thank you so much!
Aloha and Thank you
When it comes to auction items, does the 1/3 rule apply to the individual item or the overall fundraising from the event and all auction items?
